A new story has begun!

HOME opens his doors to a new concept of restaurant. The location follows a feels-like-home look characterized by a huge dining room and a tiny garden, thanks to the effort of Luca Rossire and Riccardo Salvi, celebrated architets in Milan. Stylistic citations and unique design objects donate to the restaurant a 50′s & 60′s twist, with easy reminds to Fellini’s “la Dolce Vita”, Capri , Brigitte Bardot’ Saint Tropez.
The owner of this special space is Monica Bagnari. She studied fashion, but cooking has always been her dream, and after 7 years of practise, Home finally came into reality! She is inspired by perfumes and colours from her childhood, when she used to assist her grandmother in the kitchen. Monica loves delicate foods, and she’s driven by the idea of eating food with closed eyes and being able to taste and guess each ingredient used in the recipe. Genuity, creativity and taste are the keywords. At Home you can find delighful brunches during the week end, romantic candlelight dinners, relaxing lunches or artistic exhibitions during the Design and Fashion weeks. Vive la Difference: Marcelo Intw on The End

Marcelo_Burlon_theEnd_0509

A Buddhist born in Patagonia, coming from a Lebanese-Italian family who grew up in a place with a peculiar mix of gauchos and hippies, now living in Milan and working in fashion and communication: this unique combination of differences is Marcelo Burlon. On last “The End” issue you can discover a lot of uncovers about his roots, family and life in a soulful and emotional interview. You’ll find also some quite funny episodes about Marcelo stealing boombox from his father to record his own radio show over cassettes, or organizing fashion shows in the courtyards when he was only a kid. A little kid with bright intentions and ideas! E Lusso.

Parra: The Disco of Italo

Piet Parra is form Holland and he’s considered as a master in illustrations, graphics designing and communication. He also founded a clothing line called Rockwell Clothing and he’s a dj and musician in Lele and Parra Soundsytem band. Parra was a skater and started like self-taught, designing graphics for clothes, album covers, posters and flyers and became quickly quite famous in the indie scene. “The Disco of Italo” is his funny tribute to “Italo Disco” phenomenon, a kind of house music produced in Italy during the eighties, and it’s also the title of the exhibition. On the occasion of the opening at Galleria Patricia Armocida, Parra presents new serigraphies, canvas, original drawings, posters and a specific site installation.
His aesthetics count on themes and patterns that easily became the hallmark of his style: plan colours to the maximum of saturation level, vibrant typographic lettering hand-drawn in a world full of hybrid characters, queer and surreal.
Man with bird-heads, carnal and voluptuous women with rotund and sensual bodies combined with sarcastic and also more introspective themes, getting until the “non sense”. Don’t miss it on Tuesday 19th/6.30 pm!

Loop

Loop” is a new exhibition at Assab One that presents 15 illustrators and 3 video artists called to think about loop and repetition.
A squared serigraphy of 48×48 is what they were called to realize, representing their own idea of the infinite duplication of patterns within the loop. There will be also 3 video-installations.
This project constitutes a collective path in analyzing individual manias in the contemporary world.
You can see the exposition until 20th May. E. Lusso
